  1. The first thing I do is adjust the cooking time based on the size of my roast. Based on my experience, a small roast will take about 15 minutes per pound, while a larger roast will take about 25 minutes per pound.
  2. Once you’ve determined the cooking time, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Place the frozen beef roast on a rack in a roasting pan.
  4. Then, bake the roast in the preheated oven until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit (for medium-rare) or 160 degrees Fahrenheit (for medium).
  5. Once the roast is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a juicier and more flavorful dish.

Cooking Frozen Beef Roast In Slow Cooker

As a seasoned home cook, I learned that cooking a frozen beef roast in a slow cooker [1] is possible and can be downright delicious. My trick is to cook the roast on a low setting for a longer period of time.

This will ensure that the beef [2] is cooked thoroughly without drying out.

Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer [3] to determine how long to cook the roast. The roast should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

Another tip I can give is to brown the roast before placing it in the slow cooker. This will give it a nice flavor and prevent the outside from becoming overcooked. Browning can be done in a pan on the stovetop or in the oven.

Simply place the roast in a hot pan or oven and cook it for a few minutes on each side. Then, add your favorite seasonings and place the roast in the slow cooker with enough liquid to cover it halfway.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the meat is cooked through.

For best results, be sure to check the internal temperature of the roast before serving.

Tips On How To Make The Best Beef Roast

To ensure that your roast is delicious and juicy, there are a few key tips to follow.

First, choose a cut of beef that has plenty of marbling. This fat will help to keep the meat moist as it cooks.

Second, season the roast generously with salt and pepper. This will help create a flavorful crust outside of the meat [4].

Finally, cook the roast at a low temperature until it reaches the desired doneness. Allowing the meat to cook slowly will prevent it from becoming tough or dry.

By following these tips, you can be confident that your beef roast will be perfectly cooked and flavorful.

  1. We read all about the long cooking times, and were worried for no reason. Here is the bottom line: For us. 10.3 lb rib roast. took it from the freezer, 24 hours in advance, put it in the fridge. Did not thaw at all over the 24 hours, maybe the outer 1/4 “. Our meat thermometer did not go beyond the 1/4 ” and registered 30 degrees on the outside.

Put it in at 6:20 am (for a mid afternoon meal), at 450 degrees. At 7:00 am, we dropped the temp to 325 and was able to insert the probe all the way to the middle by 7:30. We then watched the temperature rise as it normally would and the whole thing was done (117 degrees) at 10:04. By 10:30, it was 128 degrees.

Of course now we had a done Prime Rib and had to rush everything. Our meal went on the table at 12:00. We let the Prime Rib sit in its juices for the 90 minutes. It was perfect. The best texture, best flavor, best color, PERFECT, Medium-Rare!. Going forward, we will make it frozen every time.
