Beyond Meat Sausage Honest Review

Hand Holding Beyond Meat Sausage

Location & Availability

Rating: 10/10

You can buy Beyond Meat Sausages at any supermarket store besides Costco. It is a regular item and can be bought at any time of the year.

Because it is a plant-based sausage, it is excellent that it is available daily in other stores for vegans and vegetarians.

Taste & Texture

Rating; 3/10

We don’t like its taste because it is far from being meaty. The sausages have a peculiar texture and an intense taste, which we trace to the Italian seasoning.

The texture is different from actual meat but has some similarities to it. The meats are relatively stale. The somewhat salty seasoning has the most pungent taste.

We think the excessive seasoning is an attempt to cover up the taste of the other ingredients. The components list mentions bell pepper and beetroot, but we don’t taste them.

Price Point

Rating: 4/10

Priced at around $18.99 Canadian, the box contains 12 sausages. There are three distinct containers, each containing four sausages. We’ve had to admit that they’re overpriced after sampling them.

In our experience, plant-based foods cost a little bit more, but it isn’t easy to justify spending this much for food that isn’t very tasty.

Packaging & Convenience

Rating: 10/10

You can cook it on the grill, skillet, or griddle. Regardless of the technique you choose, thaw frozen sausages before cooking.

The Beyond Sausages would be suitable for a summer barbecue you’re hosting for guests you don’t know well if you want to provide a vegan alternative.

The best-before date is approximately nine months. Their partition improves the convenience of the sausages into three smaller packets.

Nutritional Facts & Dietary Features

Rating: 8/10

These vegetarian sausages don’t inherently have fewer calories or fat than their meat counterparts.

270 calories, 20 grams of fat, 5 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, 0 grams of sugar, 19 grams of protein, and 420 mg of sodium are all found in one hundred grams of sausage.

Serving

Rating: 10/10

It can serve up to 12 people because per container has 4 sausages, and the box contains 3 containers. It is ideal for a big family or solo living who wants to stock sausages.

Ingredients

Rating: 10/10

The Beyond Meat Beyond Sausages contain many ingredients like pea protein and refined coconut oil.

Many of the substances appear to be healthy, but there are also some unhealthful ones. People with legume allergies should be cautious when eating this because of pea proteins. [1]

One thing is sure: the ingredient list does not include any pork or other meat whatsoever. Beyond Sausages are non-GMO, vegan, and devoid of soy and gluten. [2]

How Does Beyond Meat Sausage Taste Like?

Fried Beyond Meat Sausage

Pan Fried

The Beyond meat Sausage tasted like real meat when it was pan-fried than another cooking method. The intense flavors aren’t that noticeable when fried–especially when freshly fried.

Grilled

The Beyond Meat sausage can also be grilled, but because the heat won’t cook internally, the strong flavors of this vegan sausage might over-power the taste.

“To me, food is as much about the moment, the occasion, the location and the company as it is about the taste.”

– Heston Blumenthal, British Chef

If you’re a vegan or vegetarian who loves plant-based food products, then there’s no problem with how it tastes, whether grilled or pan-fried.

Will We Buy It Again?

With its pricing, which seemed to be a little over-priced, odd taste and textures, we might not buy it again as a regular meal.

However, if we have vegetarian visitors, Beyond Meat Sausage is one of our great options.

We conclude that we’ll only buy this again when we have vegetarian visitors.
